Biomodulators

From £350 per unset

Biomodulator (often used interchangeably with Biostimulator) refers to a class of "smart" injectables that don't just fill gaps, but actually "reprogram" your skin to behave younger. Unlike traditional fillers that act like a temporary gel implant, a biomodulator acts like a scaffold. It triggers a controlled response from your body to build a new, thick foundation of its own collagen and elastin.

Additional information

How is a Biomodulator different from a standard filler?

Traditional fillers (Hyaluronic Acid) act like a gel cushion to fill a specific wrinkle instantly. Biomodulators act like a seed; they are injected deep into the skin to trigger your body’s natural "wound healing" response, which grows a brand-new layer of your own collagen over several months.

Is it true I won't see the results immediately?

Yes, the true result takes 3 to 6 months to appear. You are waiting for your body to physically build the new tissue.

How many sessions will I need?

Most protocols require a "build" phase of 2 to 3 sessions, spaced about 4–6 weeks apart. Because the results are your own biological tissue, you don't need "top-ups" as often as fillers—usually just once every 18 to 24 months.

Can Biomodulators be "dissolved" if I don't like it?

No. Unlike Hyaluronic Acid fillers, most biomodulators (like Sculptra or Radiesse) cannot be dissolved with an enzyme.

Will it make my face look wider or "puffy"?

No. This is actually why we choose them. Biomodulators provide "structural lift" rather than "puffy volume." They tighten the skin and define the jawline and cheekbones, creating a sharper, more refreshed look rather than a rounder one.

Does it hurt?

The procedure is generally well-tolerated. Most practitioners use a cannula (a blunt-tipped tube) rather than a needle, which reduces pain and bruising. The product itself is usually mixed with a local anesthetic (lidocaine) so the area numbs as it is being treated.

Who is the "perfect" candidate?

Someone aged 35 to 65 who is noticing: Hollow temples or sunken cheeks. A "heavy" or sagging jawline. Skin that feels thin and "empty" rather than just having surface wrinkles.
