Additional information

Does mesotherapy actually hurt?

Most patients describe the sensation as a "slight pinch" or "prickling." Because the needles are extremely fine and only penetrate the middle layer of skin (about 1–4mm deep), it is much less painful than a standard vaccination. Note: Many practitioners apply a topical numbing cream 20–30 minutes before the procedure to ensure you are comfortable.

How many sessions will I need to see results?

Mesotherapy is rarely a "one-and-done" treatment. Initial Course: Usually 3 to 6 sessions are required for visible, lasting change. Frequency: These are typically spaced 14 to 30 days apart initially, then moving to once in 3 month as the skin improves.

What exactly is in the "cocktail" being injected?

There is no "standard" formula. Practitioners create a customized blend based on your goals. Common ingredients include: Hyaluronic Acid: For deep hydration and plumping. Vitamins (C, A, E): To brighten and protect against oxidative stress. Amino Acids & Peptides: To stimulate collagen and elastin. Coenzymes & Minerals: To fuel cellular metabolism. Plant Extracts: To improve circulation or break down fat.

How long do the results last?

Results can last anywhere from 12 to 18 months after a full course is completed. However, because your body continues to age or produce fat naturally, "maintenance" sessions (once every 3–6 months) are highly recommended to keep the skin glowing or the hair growing.

What is the "downtime" like?

One of the main draws of mesotherapy is the minimal downtime. Most people return to work immediately. Common Side Effects: You may see tiny "micro-bumps" at the injection sites, slight redness, or minor bruising. These usually vanish within 24 to 48 hours.

What should I avoid after the treatment?

To ensure the cocktail stays in the dermis and works effectively, you should: Avoid vigorous exercise for 48 hours (sweating can "flush" the ingredients out). Avoid hot baths/saunas for 24–48 hours. Avoid washing the area for at least 8–10 hours.

Is it safe?

When performed by a trained professional in a sterile environment, it is very safe. The risks are mostly local (bruising or swelling).

Who should NOT get mesotherapy?

You are generally advised to avoid this treatment if you: Are pregnant or breastfeeding. Have a history of blood clots or take blood-thinning medication. Have an active skin infection or severe cardiac disease. Have a known allergy to any of the ingredients (like certain vitamins or enzymes).
