Additional information

What are the benefits?

Expertly administered anti-wrinkle injections help to reverse the changes in facial muscle dynamics associated with fine lines and wrinkles, whilst still allowing movement and expression and maintaining a natural look. It is particularly effective for lines on the forehead, around the eyes, frown lines, the neck and to lift the brow.

What areas can be treated?

Botulinum toxin Injections are used mainly for smoothing the fine lines on the face, particularly the forehead, between the brows, and around the eyes but can also be used for the neck. This treatment can also be used to relieve the symptoms of hyperhidrosis when injected into areas of excessive sweating and for teeth grinding when injected into the masseter muscles in the jaw. It may also be used as an alternative to lip filler to give the appearance of a fuller lip and to reduce facial sweating. Botulinum toxin can also be used to give a 'non-surgical brow lift' but relaxing the downward pulling depressor muscles of the face.

What is the downtime?

There is virtually no downtime. Injection points may be slightly red or raised immediately after the treatment but these usually subside within a few minutes. With any injectables there is a small risk of bruising around the injection sites. To reduce the risk of bruising we suggest that you avoid omega-3 fatty acid supplements, blood thinners and alcohol for 48 hours prior to your injectable treatments.

Are there any side effects?

Mild redness or swelling at the injection site can occur and usually settles within a few hours. Rarely, temporary bruising or mild headache may occur. Your practitioner will explain all potential risks during your consultation.

How often should I have the treatment?

Most clients return every 3–4 months to maintain their results, though frequency may vary depending on individual muscle strength and metabolism.

Is there any aftercare I should follow?

Yes — avoid touching or massaging the treated area for 24 hours, avoid intense exercise and alcohol for the rest of the day, and stay upright for at least 4 hours post-treatment. Your practitioner will provide detailed aftercare instructions.
