When a Chaperone May Be Offered
A chaperone may be offered or requested in the following situations:
- During any intimate procedures or treatments.
- Where the patient or practitioner feels more comfortable with a third-party present.
- When a language barrier or communication difficulty exists.
- For patients who are under 18, vulnerable, or require additional support.
If you would like a chaperone present, please inform us when booking your appointment or upon arrival.
We will do our best to accommodate your request.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request a chaperone at any stage of your appointment.
- Decline a chaperone, if you prefer a private consultation.
- Reschedule your appointment if a chaperone is not available at your chosen time.
Family Members and Friends
You are welcome to bring a friend, family member, or carer to accompany you during your appointment if this makes you feel more comfortable.
